Shadyside Porch Concerts 2025

Thanks for joining us this season!

This series was launched by Monique and her teens in 2020 to create community during isolation and to provide a stage for musicians through the pandemic. Turns out, it was a keeper!

Featuring some of Pittsburgh’s most beloved musician—from classical to jazz and beyond—these concerts typically run from mid-June to late July and are open to people from all neighborhoods.

Bring a lawn chair, some drinks, and a couple of friends! Set up on the lawn or driveway starting at 6:30 PM. Concerts begin at 7:00 PM and last about an hour. Children are welcome—please keep pets on the sidewalk. Note that there are no public restrooms.

Everyone is welcome. Admission is free and donations are gratefully accepted to support our talented musicians. No tickets or RSVP needed!

Join us for the finale of our porch concert season with Birdland to Broadway, performed by Delana Flowers, Nathan Sekela, and Tino’s band. From smoky jazz standards to Broadway hits, these CMU alumni will light up our porch with music that dances between New York’s iconic Birdland club and the bright lights of Broadway. This inspiring evening features outstanding students on violin, cello, and piano, including the return of 13-year-old violinist Alice Tang, whose debut recital in 2020 sparked the very beginning of our Porch Concert Series.
